Hello Olga,
It is wonderful
to hear from you. So you would like my comments and opinion about the tour. Well
I had a great time, an absolute great time. I met so many lovely women it was a
challenge to just choose one.
But I did when I met my Evgenija. In fact
it is my intention to go back to see her again in January. In my mind, I could
not have imagined a finer woman. She is everything I could ever desire. We are
getting to know each other and so far it is all good. Yes, I love her very much,
and look forward to her being a major part of my life going forward.
As
far as the experience itself, it was quite the eye opener for me. I have always
wanted to go behind what was the Iron Curtain. The cultural differences were a
contrast and very welcome in most cases. One exception being the economic
situation in Ukraine, I feel great compassion for the Ukrainian people. I am
hopeful for their future.
I truly enjoyed the food, the roasted pork with
mushrooms and cheese being my favorite. The people without exception treated me
in a warm and welcoming manner everywhere I went.
The venue for the socials was as advertised, an elegant and
dignified setting. I was quite comfortable and enjoyed the events. I was truly
impressed with the women who traveled hours by bus to come to the socials. It
indicated to me the seriousness and sincerity of the women who attended. They
were all so beautiful and presented themselves so well, and they did their very
best to welcome me and make me feel at home. They succeeded beyond my
expectations
I really enjoyed the staff, Derek, Karina and yourself, my
interpreter Inna (from Kherson) is an angel, and will remain my friend for life.
She was excellent in every possible manner and looked after me very well. Not
only was she my interpreter, she was my tour guide, concierge and personal
assistant on the tour. Inna provided me with an exceptional level of service and
facilitated the successful introduction and subsequent dating and activities
with Evgenija, all successful and very fun and rewarding. If Evgenija and I get
married I hope Inna will be the Bridesmaid.
I also made friends with
several of the other guys on the tour, and have stayed in touch with most of
them since the we have returned home. I was surprised at the level of
camaraderie that we developed as a group.There were only a couple of
knuckleheads in the entire group.
If I had to offer advice, I would have
brought more travelers checks, about another $1000.00. Since I spent a great
deal of time in Kherson and credit cards are not as accepted as in Odessa. Other
than that the guidelines offered by Anastasia were right on the mark.
All
in all I had a fabulous time. I have encouraged several of my single male
friends to please go on this tour. I tell them, "do not hesitate, sign up now,
go on the very next tour, trust me, you will have a great time, do it for
yourself, it will be the best thing you ever do".
