Like my tour in May, this tour was an awesome experience. Going back to Odessa, a city I have grown to love was wonderful. It was especially nice to see Irina and Karina again and to meet Margarita, Olga and Jed. They all were extremely helpful to me. And I felt like they were truly my friends.
Unlike last time, I came in a day earlier than the tour and stayed 9 days extra. Last time I was disappointed when the tour left on Saturday morning, so I gave myself not only that extra weekend, but one weekend more too. It made the difference, as I am now engaged to a lovely lady, and have already started the visa process. The four girls, Jed and Todd bent over backwards trying to help in many cases.
The accommodations at the hotel were fine. The breakfast was great and the staff quite friendly. They offered to give me a better room rate for my extended stay, but I spent that time in Nikolaev.
The site seeing tour of the Catacombs was great and I especially enjoyed it as I missed it in May. I was disappointed by the city tour though. We left the hotel about 45 minutes late and then came back almost a half hour early. Much of the tour from May was left out, and we were rushed at other sites.
Overall I can tell you that the Anastasia system works, you just have to be patient. The staff helps out great and the interpreters at the socials are very helpful too. As I go forward with the visa process I keep thinking about the great times I had, that I will miss. After spending a week and a half in Nikolaev I am also quite familiar with that city as well. I would also enjoy seeing other cities that are on your tour schedule.
In conclusion I want to thank the staff and Anastasia for bringing me together with the lady and her two daughters that I am now engaged to. I have include a pictures from the tour as well as a unique picture of the Duke monument. I have also included one of me with my fiancee showing off her ring.
