Dear Olga,
Here is the long version of my Odessa experience as I said I would write.
I traveled to Odessa 2 weeks before the tour group. I have been writing to a woman in Berdyansk for many months and I wanted to meet her alone.
Angelika went back to Berdyansk and 2 days later the tour group showed up. It was very entertaining. The hotel was beautiful although I preferred the privacy that Angelika and I had in the apartment.
The socials were more than perfect. Not only were there many wonderful and beautiful women there but I made some new friends with some of the men. One of the main reasons I went to the socials is to report back to my friends at home. We live on the island of Unalaska in the Bering Sea. There are about 80 men to every woman and we work allot. It is not the place to find a "good woman", although there are some wonderful women here. They are married!! there are a number of women from The former USSR who have married men here and they are all exceptional women. They have many qualities that make them a partner to be proud of. So I am kind of a scouting party for others. Be expecting more men from Unalaska.
It was interesting to sit and listen to the stories of the other men on the tour. Some of them had a great time and a few did not. I think that you get out what you put in and a few men were expectant and had the wrong idea.
You along with the rest of the staff did a very good job. I did not need much help but when I did need some it was taken care of promptly and friendly.
When I first made arrangements to travel Ukraine Steve Sias was very helpful as was everyone else at Anastasia that I talked to. The people at Travel Bargain made it smooth. I had no problem getting the apartment with Sonja. I am sure people got tired of me calling but when you live where I live things need to get done sooner than anywhere else.
I fell in love with Odessa. It is so different from the US. I travel all over the world and am usually glad to get home but not this time. I felt more at home in Ukraine.
My next journey there will be to bring Angelika to Alaska or to move to Berdyansk and start a business.
